We are back in the office after exhibiting at the 2015 St. Louis Business Expo. The expo provides a platform for businesses to enhance their relationships, research the market for the leading products and services, and learn about the latest best business practices. Now that the enhancing, researching and learning is complete it is time to get back to work!

Anda Visits Dynasty’s Footwear Show: NYC

We were happy to stop by and visit our friends of Dynasty Footwear at their cool showroom in Midtown Manhattan yesterday. This week is the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFaNY) show and our client is promoting several new brands and styles of shoes, including two brands we recently collaborated on together: London Underground and Makalu Gift Edition (recently awarded a GD USA Best Packaging Award 2014 – more information coming soon!). It was snowing yesterday, so a pair of Makalu boots would have come in very handy…or very footy.

2011 FFANY New York Shoe Expo: Dynasty Footwear Showrooms

Anda just returned from a great trip to NYC. Dynasty Footwear was showing during the FFANY Shoe Show last week (Nov. 29 – Dec. 1), so we jumped at the opportunity to visit with our cool and creative friends at Dynasty and to see the results of our latest collaboration: Makalu™ California.

We were tasked with creating a Southern California-influenced branding design for the Women’s, Girl’s and Men’s Makalu California shoe lines. This included logos, packaging and brand books. In addition, we designed fixtures for displaying the shoes in their showrooms.

The Dynasty Footwear showrooms looked fantastic! We were happy to see the project’s final pieces come to fruition, and to see exactly how well our graphic designs worked with Dynasty’s innovative and stylish shoe designs. Now that we have seen the actual space for this event, watch out for next year! Well, unless they change venues without telling us.

Thanks again, Dynasty!

We’re off to the Acres USA Conference

Back Forty Creative will be at the Acres USA Conference again this year. The conference runs from December 8 through December 10 in Columbus, OH. If you’re planning on attending, feel free to stop by booth #510 to learn how our design services can help your sustainable agriculture business grow by creating a new logo/branding system, website, printed brochure, exhibit displays, etc. Or, feel free to drop by just to say hello. If you can’t find us, we’ll be next to the booth with the tasty organic lollipops.

And if you’re looking for more people to visit, find our friends:
AgriEnergy Resources
All Star Trading
Working Farms Capital

See you there!

One small step for man, one giant leap for Anda-kind

Last year Anda Creative teamed up with Los Angeles-based footwear company Dynasty Footwear, Ltd. to create a brand identity system for a new shoe called PEX. The synthetic EVA material used for the shoes creates a durable yet comfortable product, while the holes provide extra ventilation (less stink) and style (more cool).

Anda created a logo inspired by the shoe’s unique ventilation holes. The logo can be used in its entirety as well as a product-crossing, stand-alone P. In addition to the identity system, we also created presentation graphics, a brand/usage book, store displays, shoe boxes, and product hang-tags.

Now, after several months of design and production, PEX have hit the shelves and are ready to hit the streets on your feets. Find PEX in area shoe stores or purchase online: Bealls

SSAWG 2011 (Southern Sustainable Agriculture Working Group)

Back Forty Creative is back in St. Louis after a trip to Chattanooga, TN for the 2011 SSAWG conference. Despite traveling with a snow and ice storm from St. Louis to Nashville, the conference went very well.

ACRES 2010 – A Voice for Eco-Agriculture

Back Forty left Indiana Ave. in Missouri for Missouri Ave. in Indiana to attend last week’s 2010 ACRES U.S.A. Conference. Indianapolis was as clean and friendly as our exhibit booth … until we broke out the blueberry ink. It went over really well, minus the person visiting an adjacent booth who reached over and tried to write his contact information with quill and ink. A frustrated Byron Dale gave up.

It was a great experience to be a part of the organic farming community. We received a lot of positive feedback about our work, obtained several good contacts and leads, enjoyed the company of our neighboring booth (Thanks for the organic lollipops, Barb!),  and were encouraged to attend even more organic farming conferences. We see MOSES and SSAWG in the near future, so we hope to see you there, too.  In the meantime, we’d love to hear from any attendees.
